Friday the 13th, a day to remember!

I passed.

I did it! I made it! 5 long hard years over and done with. I can't quite believe I passed.

I've NEVER been as nervous as I was waiting for results this morning. When they wheeled out the board I swear my heart almost stopped. I had to recheck 3 or 4 times just to make sure my name was really on the list. It was. What an amazing feeling! Friday the 13th might be unlucky for some but for me today, it ROCKS!

I'm going to be a doctor! Oh dear lord.
edit: I AM a doctor

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

p.s. this blog is still under construction but what better way to launch it than with an announcement like this!

Fantastic!

Really well done, TLM, it seems it's a great week for both of us! I'm so happy for you. Welcome to life as a doctor, which despite what you may hear is THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD, in my opinion.

Have a great summer and I'm really looking forward to hearing about how you get on as an FY1

Yay! Congratulations! Am intrigued by the concept of a results 'board' - we have to receive our results by email. For data protection reasons of course (!). Which works great, except when they manage to send the your results to someone else... Think it is prob considerably less stressful tho!

Love the new blog - I was sat in traffic this morning wondering what you were going to do with the name once you passed (as I had absolute my faith in you). Now I know!

Enjoy your holiday, and let me say now I am very much looking foward to comparing posts on August 6th!

Congrats! I'm so jealous it hurts. I went to the presentation ceremony for our graduating class today. The guys were so happy some of them were crying. I can't wait till I get to leave next year. I'll probably be blubbering like little girl.

Slightly surprised they actually had NAMES up, as most Univ exam results are now anonymised by student reg numbers, which takes all the fun out of it for the tutors. Names only appear on the final degree results these days.

So I strolled by the noticeboards today to check out the names of this yr's graduating medic class to see if could spot anyone I'd taught... ...but the only name I thought I recognised was the student who had featured (as a patient) on a TV plastic surgery reality show. A sign of the times, I guess.
